Mario Genesi

Piano accompanist, organist, composer and arranger, born in London (Great Britain), transferred to Italy, where he graduated at the DAMS Musicology State University, Bologna, with maximum marks.
He also studied piano and organ in Italian Conservatories: composition with Alessandro Ruo-Rui, Tiziano Pisati, G. Possio, Frà Callisto Giacomini, Boris Porena, Franco Monego and piano mainly with excellent Mantuan teacherFrancesco Maria Martini , also followed masterclasses by Loic Maille,  in organ composition and execution, with Umberto Finazzi with whom he also specialized as piano accompanist at the residential institute Accademia di Torre Molina. Pianist collaborator in the Arte Scenica Class of the Conservatorio “Giuseppe Nicolini” in Piacenza (when directed by Maestro Fabrizio Garilli), together with sopranos Lucetta Bizzi and Eugenia Ratti. He has also been pianist in the Istituto Musicale “Giovanni Pierluigi Da Palestrina” of Castelsangiovanni (Pc) in the Canto Class directed by soprano Maria- Laura Groppi. He is co-founder of the Concorso di Canto “Città di Lodi” produced by Accademia Musicale Gerundia (directed by Maestro Pietro Farina), a “Concorso” which promoted many young opera singers from all five continents during its puriennial sessions. In this Concorso, Maestro Genesi was the titolar piano accompanist. Invited to held a brief fortnight’s Masterclass on voice interpretation and correlated piano accompanying in the Ongaku Crearu Music School, Okinawa (Japan) in 2000, he also created by request on the spot an arrangement for quintet of the Incidental Music for the 1929 drama ba Youkou Majikina “Handugwa’s Island” [Izima Handugwà]. Concerts held in Italy, Portugal,France, Japan. Collaborations with famous singers such as dame Fedora Barbieri in her “Paris Adieu” concert in Early Nineties filmed by a local French network. Concerts with sopranos Emanuela Moreschi, Chiara Passudetti, with bassos Massimiliano Ceccalotti, Victor Garcia Sierra, Riccardo Zanellato, with tenors Paolo Petroni, William Matteuzzi, Umberto Borsò (in Paris), etc.

Many volumes of his original organ music edited by the Carrara firm, Bergamo (directed by Cavalier V. Carrara), and editions of organ music by Fumagalli, Verdi, Banchieri, Gervasoni, G. P. Colonna , E. Pizzoni, W. A. Mozart.
Recordings
Together with soprano Eleonora Alberici a Baroque Vocal Music compilation; as a solo organist a Carlo Gervasoni from Borgotaro organ compilation.

-Ave Euphemia Felix, a liturgical ceremonial motect for alto, organ, and guitar/harp orchestra (expressly composed for the Saint Euphemia Church, Piacenza)
